ARVIND WALIA

FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Arvind Walia's experience spans more than twenty five years in information technology, consulting and professional services. He is an accomplished entrepreneur, having started two successful technology businesses in his career. Arvind received his bachelors and masters degree in Computer Science and started his career with Goldman Sachs. He left Goldman after heading up the Prime Brokerage technology division to start an technology enabled services business named Visient Technology in 1995. Visient was a pioneer in developing and transitioning fortune-500 companies’ technology to Internet platforms. Arvind was instrumental in developing the very first web based solutions for Goldman, Merrill Lynch, Merck, Bristol Meyers Squib, and Ernst and Young. Visient was a pioneer in its time and was successfully sold to a large media services firm in 2000. Arvind founded Porteck in 2002 to bring his unique approach and technology skills to the revenue cycle management space in the healthcare industry. He has developed a strong team of senior managers and a world class technology platform at Porteck. Arvind holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Wayne State University, Michigan.

MELODIE KRALJEV

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Melodie Kraljev joined Porteck in 2006. Her experience spans over 15 years in the healthcare industry providing revenue cycle management to private practices and hospital based practices. As the COO, Melodie is focused on Porteck’s operations and client services including practice management, coding, credentialing and revenue cycle management. Her role involves managing day to day operations, developing technology for process improvements and formulating strategies to improve client services. Prior to joining Porteck, she worked at Medisys Network as Physician Billing Manager and was managing the various divisions that handled billing and collections for inpatient and outpatient services of Jamaica, Flushing and Brookdale Hospitals. This experience on the front lines of medical billing, provided valuable insight for the development of RCM process workflows and the design of PARCS functionality at Porteck. Melodie was an instructor at Queens College teaching classes in medical billing and collections. Melodie graduated from Long Island University with a B.A. and earned an M.B.A. in Healthcare Administration from Baruch College.

MATHEW MALONE

VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING/SALES
Matthew Malone joined Porteck in January of 2011 to develop a comprehensive organic growth sales plan. Since his inception, Matt has added more than thirty five new clients. He is focused on new account acquisition and on managing the sales team through training and teaching the importance of relationship building with clients. Matt has a certification as a Sandler sales trainer and has attended numerous Sales training courses in his 20 years of sales experience. He has been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years in a variety of senior sales roles primarily in the radiology market. He has launched and marketed new radiology practices. Matt also has experience negotiating multimillion dollar government contracts. He has a wide contact network within the radiology market built up over the last 20 years. He attended The State University of New York at Stony Brook from 1986-90 Majoring in Chemistry and was a standout athlete in Track and Field and Soccer earning two varsity letters. In 1988 he earned a spot at the US Olympic Track and Field trials in the 400 meter event.

ALON BARAM

VICE PRESIDENT OF TECHNOLOGY
Alon joined Porteck in 2004 as the Vice President of Technology where he is responsible for all phases of design and architecture for projects within the company. This includes PARCs, RMP software and SMS 800 systems. Prior to joining Porteck he worked for over 10 years as a system designer at a variety of corporations including ADP, Lucent (Avaya division), iFrame and Binary Tree. At ADP he was responsible for the development of a variety of mission critical systems such as sales order system, adjustment payroll application and the ADP portal site. He has a BS in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

HASIT NANDA

CHIEF OFFICER OF OPERATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY PORTECK INDIA
Hasit joined Porteck India in 2004 as COO. He has over 20 years experience in senior management roles in the field of Information technology, service delivery and enterprise application implementation. At Porteck he has provided technical leadership, innovation & architectural vision in the development of enterprise software solutions and business solutions. He has been the team leader in the development of the SMS 800 system, PARCS, MDReferral and other internal technology systems and products. He also provides operational leadership to the claims processing function in India. This includes aligning delivery organization to the service roadmap, operating plan and growth aspirations of the company. Hasit has a MBA (diploma) in Technology Management form Open University, UK, M.Sc. in Modern Methods of Electromechanical Design from Leicester University, UK, Postgraduate Diploma in Microelectronics from Middlesex University, London, UK and BE (Electronics & Communications) from Osmania University, Hyderabad. Extensive technology certification course from Microsoft and Sun Microsystems.
