Follow up's:
Porteck agents will follow up with the payor regarding unpaid insurance claims; all calls are logged. Based upon the information gathered, we will take necessary action on the unpaid claim and, if necessary, correct and resubmit it:

• Denials: We will check the EOB's for the denial reason and will then take appropriate action based on the explanation. The solution could be as simple as a call to the payor, or requesting more information from the provider.
• Patient Re-Verification: If there is a denial for non-eligibility, the first step is to call the payor to confirm that the patient is not insured with them. Once confirmed, we will call the provider's office and/or the patient directly for eligibility re-verification and membership details.
• Resubmission of Claims: Based on the information we receive from the payor or patient, we will update the information in the system and resubmit the claim with the necessary information and/or attachments.

Collections:
Overdue accounts -- those not paid within terms -- can have a negative impact on a practice's cash flow and sometimes the ability to provide care. Porteck agents are trained to follow up on such accounts, resulting in increased revenues for your practice.

Full Service Charge Billing:
Porteck offers full lifecycle services to medical practices. When supplied with scanned images, super bills and other necessary documentation, we offer charge data entry services to our clients. At the close of business each day, we send our clients a detailed daily work report as well as an exception report--including any missing information--clearly outlining the reasons for any incomplete charge entry on our end. Additionally, we can provide electronic claim submission (as per client specifications), account receivables reconciliation and payment posting.
